Google originally made its name by using a Page rank system based on links throughout the web to return relevant search results to users.Although there were many search engines available before Google the page rank system simply returned better results to users. Page Rank  (Googles Internal Page Rank Not So Much Toolbar Page Rank, a long story) is still the major factor in how search results are delivered and things like  Back links  and anchor text are still the major players and always will be.However over the years Google have added lots of other factors in how they return their search results, they claim there is over 200 components used to deliver the results we see.A couple of noticeable more recent additions to this are Social Media and Site Speed.

Back in January this year (2011) Blogger added 77 very  cool fonts to the Blogger template designer .The fonts they added were from the Google Web Fonts directory and included some awesome bold fonts, handwriting fonts and fun fonts that could give your blog a unique look.If you use a template from the template designer you simply go to the template designer editor then choose and save any font.While this was great news for Bloggers using templates from the template designer unfortunately Bloggers using Custom Blogger templates could not use the fonts so easily.So if you have a custom Blogger Template (A Template You Downloaded Online From A Blogger Template Site) in this post i will show you how you can manually add any of the fonts to your blog.

"Twitter", is one of the most popular Social networking sites in the world among Bloggers to promote their blogs.There are a number of  twitter widgets , scripts and plugins available to integrate Twitter with your blog.Most of the icons, buttons or badges are stationary or a  fixed floating Twitter gadgets .Now here i have a very cool unique Blogger Twitter widget, an actual Animated flying Twitter Bird that flies around your blog. This Plugin is java script based and it will display an animated Twitter bird that settles on different places of your blogs visible area. If a you scroll the page, the bird will fly towards the visible part and settle in a new place and it takes random paths for each flight.When you place the cursor over the Twitter Bird "tweet this" and "follow me" links appear,through this the visitor can tweet the article or follow you. The other day i posted 3 very cool sets of icons you could use to let people subscribe to your Rss Feed, Twitter and Facebook Page.In that post i gave you the code for the icons ready to use, you just had to add your URLs then copy and paste.Two of the icon sets were very similar both having a Polaroid Picture Design.One was fresh and bright while the other had a vintage worn look.This lead me to thinking wouldn't it be cool to have the worn vintage Polaroid icons in your sidebar and when someone hovers over them they switch to the bright clean icon.This is called a rollover effect. I'm sure you have seen image rollover effects before and this is a great way to use it. So lets look at it in action, i decided to use a rollover html code in the link rather than Css, just so once again it's a simple one time copy and paste.
